The big 4.0!
That’s right. I am a whopping four months old now. I can hardly believe it myself. About 125 days ago my entire world was black, lonely, wet, and the last thing I would have wanted in my lungs was air. Just take a look at me now. I sure have grown! Now it is

You may be saying that four months isn’t much, but it is a lifetime for me…literally. I have accomplished so much these past four months. This blog has shared many of my accomplishments, so I’ll know share some of my more recent feats! (Picture to the right is me getting measured at my 4-month appointment. I came in just shy of 26 inches.)
Sleeping in my own room: I was spending all my nights in mom and dad’s room. Up until just shortly before turning four months old my parents decided I was a big enough girl to have my own room. So, they moved me to my new room. They transitioned me slowly, with mom and dad sleeping in my room together with me. I was pretty good, but getting used to the new digs took a toll on my sleep. My mom’s sleep, too. On my fourth month birthday, I got my 2nd round of vaccinations shots. (See the picture of me with the bandages covering the war wounds?) The stress tired me out so much that I slept through the night! That was my first night giving both mom and dad a full night of sleep.

Passing toys from hand to hand: Another nice little advance that I have found is that these hands of mine or quite useful when used in tandem. God wasn’t an idiot when he planned out hands. They are very useful independent of each other. I found that out in the first three months. Now that I am a four month old, I am starting to explore all the uses when I partner my hands. One of my favorites is to pass my toys from one hand to the next. I see my dad do it with the remote all the time. That is where I got the idea.
Lifting my chest up using my arms & razzing: I have been doing a great job lifting up my chest using my front arms. Dr. Mizner asked me at my recent doctor appointment if I was able to do this. I wanted to roll my eyes as I had started practicing this at about 3-months of age. But, my parents have raised me better than that, so far, and I simply looked over to my dad so that he could answer Dr. Mizner in the affirmative.

I am also starting to razz. (This is what my mom calls it when I make the motion with my lips as if I were blowing bubbles under water.) Apparently mom has been looking for this as a benchmark for my development. Thankfully I passed that test. I wonder what other hidden objectives my parents have for me?
Sitting all by my self: So far, my parents have always been holding me up. I love sitting up because then I can feel my feet and the play mat. Lately my parents have been letting me sit there without there support. I handle myself with aplomb…for about three or four seconds before I crash to the floor.

Not a bad couple of weeks, huh?
